Total Compensation Analysis & Design Products
1. Organizational Compensation Analysis & Structure Design
We use our three online systems (always current and never aged) to conduct an analysis of all positions and the market range. This is for any industry, of any size, in any part of the United States. We then create a model for hiring, promoting, budgeting, and planning, and a model using your employee population to determine next steps. An internal equity analysis is included in all of our projects.
2. Benefit Analysis
Benefit Analyses complete the picture to give you an understanding of how competitive you are on total compensation. Avoid the mistake of thinking that better benefits allow you to pay less (or vice versa).
3. Market Compensation Analysis (MCA)
A single-position analysis used for new or modified positions or those that have recruitment or retention challenges.
4. Annual Benchmark Check (3 position pack)
A check of three key positions to evaluate either how they have shifted since the last full analysis or to see how your estimates stack up against the market.
5. Executive Compensation Analysis
These analyses go deep on how to compensate the CEO or C-Level Team. The results are used both to retain current incumbents and recruit new talent.
Employee Engagement Ecosystem Products
1. Annual Engagement Survey
Employee engagement is not the same as employee satisfaction, and valid engagement surveys can’t be created in HR. It takes experts. Oyster works with TMA to pull deep and usable trends from your data. We report on results organization-wide. Then we do specific and sustained action planning to keep the ecosystem going.
2. Stay Surveys
We don’t want to wait until people are leaving to ask them what went wrong. Instead, we want to ask the people who are staying what that’s all about. Then we incorporate the results into the engagement ecosystem.
3. Pulse Surveys
The annual engagement survey is essential. But waiting a year for updated information could prove costly. Pulse surveys, typically on a monthly basis, are a leading indicator of any issues that may need attention.
Assessment, Coaching, & Training Products
1. Coaching
Our coaching is typically for executives and the senior team. We are Advising Coaches, meaning that we recommend as well as ask questions.
2. 360s
We use only the best for 360s – TMA Performance. The results help participants identify their strengths and determine their blind spots. 360 coaching is available in one-, three-, and six-session increments.
3. Coach-in-a-Pocket
This coaching service can be used after coaching to get timely support, or it can be made available for a leadership team on an ongoing basis. More than black and white management advice, Coach-in-a-Pocket provides ad hoc leadership solutions in real-time.
4. DISC Analysis
We work with our partner Crystal to determine DISC types on individuals and teams. We do more than conduct a workshop for teams – we make it stick. This maximizes effectiveness and your investment.
5. Team Building
We use DISC as a foundation for team building. But we are not “one and done.” We use three layers of personality type knowledge to ensure that your investment is used and has impact.
6. Annual Management Training
We don’t just mitigate risk for your organization by facilitating a workshop on basic compliance and management concepts, we equip participants to be managers of choice. That leads to organizational effectiveness and success.
7. Annual Employee Training
Employee training isn’t required, other than in certain states and situations. But that doesn’t mean it’s not essential in all workplaces. Compliance training at the employee level equips them to make smart decisions fast, and to apply policies in real time. And employees complying with laws and policies is good management and good risk mitigation.

1. Strategic Planning using the Oyster model
Strategic planning does not have to be complicated or take months. We start with “wildest dreaming,” and then pull in different stakeholder groups via survey. When we sit down with the planning team, we are ready to start creating and the final plan isn’t far behind. We ensure that every employee is linked to the strategic plan so that everyone is pulling in the same direction.
2. Strategic Planning using the EOS/Traction model
We are EOS Implementors, using the highly popular and radically effective Traction method. This model is naturally simple and quick to implement. Most importantly, it is a quick way to organization success using quarterly rocks (goals) to drive progress.
3. Strategic Planning Updates/Dashboards
Strategic plans don’t do much if they get stuck in a folder somewhere. Are they informing the activity of every employee? Are boards using them as a measure of performance? We update plans and link them to usable dashboards to make sure there is forward motion.
